Conditions of Use

The contract is under English law.

Dispatch:

Goods will not be dispatched until payment has been received in full for the goods and postage charges.

Goods will be packaged securely, but should any items be damaged in transit, you must notify us upon your receipt of the goods.

You will be notified by e-mail once the goods have been dispatched. Should they fail to arrive, please notify us so that the matter can be investigated.

Goods displayed on the website will generally be ready for dispatch, and we will endeavour to dispatch items within 48 hours of order, but you should allow 2 weeks for dispatch. Should a delay be anticipated in being able to dispatch the goods you will be contacted regarding this. We can give no guarantees of you receiving goods within a certain time-frame. If you need goods urgently it is possible to send them by courier or under guaranteed next day delivery, but you must contact us to arrange this before placing the order.

Payment:

Payments from the website are processed by Paypal. We do not take any payment details.

If you do not want to use Paypal we can accept payment by cheque (payable to 'sparkleduck') or by credit or debit card over the phone (not American Express or Dinerís Club).

Prices:

Prices exclude postage. Generally goods being sent within the UK will be posted by First Class mail, and goods sent to addresses outside the UK will be sent by airmail. Postage rates can be found here.

For items sent out of the EU, we are not responsible for the payment of any local import or customs duties, or any other local sales taxes which may be imposed.

Returns

If you are not satisfied with any items in any way, you may return them within 10 days for a refund. Items returned because you have changed your mind must be in the same saleable condition on return for a refund, and refunds will only be made once the item has been received by us. We will not pay return postage unless the item is faulty. We accept no liability for items lost or damaged in return transit, and we recommend that if you want to return an item you contact us in advance, and when posting it you obtain proof of postage (such as a certificate of posting).

Product Warranty:

The yarn and fibre being sold is all hand dyed in small lots. We can give no guarantees that multiple skeins of the same colourway will match, and if it is essential for you to receive matching colours from a single dye batch you must notify us when placing the order. If necessary a specific batch can be dyed to ensure consistency, although this may delay dispatch of the goods.

We give no warranties regarding the appearance of yarn colours on the website. Care is taken in photographing the yarns and a calibrated screen is used when reviewing the images placed on the website. However, different screens can display colours in different manners. If you are not satisfied with the colour when you receive your yarn, you may return it for a full refund under the terms of our returns policy.

Most of the yarns we sell are delicate and care should be taken in washing items produced from the yarn. Should advice regarding washing be required, please contact us, but we cannot give any warranty that items produced from the yarn will be suitable for machine washing.

We use dyes which are colour fast and should not run or fade. However, colour-fastness of the dyes cannot be guaranteed. You may find a small amount of excess dye will run when an item is first washed.

Product Liability:

We can give no guarantee that the dye in our products will not run, and accept no liability should damage arise due to dyes running.
