Shipping & Returns


Other than for garment quantities, generally if it is listed in the shop it is available to be sent out straightaway, and we’ll send you an e-mail once its on its way to you. We’ll try to send things out within 48 hours. However, whilst we know that you’ll want your yarn as soon as possible we’d ask that you give us a bit longer than that before chasing us up (as we might be at a show, or away for a few days). Garment quantities are dyed to order. We will try to fulfil the order as quickly as possible, but generally it will take up to 2 weeks for garment quantities to be dispatched. We will e-mail when the order is being dispatched.

Sometimes stock control may go a bit wrong, and if we’ve managed to run out of something but not managed to take it off the website we’ll let you know by e-mail as we should be able to dye some more, but it will take a few days extra to come out to you.


Yarn prices do not include postage. We’re happy to send our yarn to good homes anywhere in the world. Customers in the UK can choose between first and second class postage for parcels up to 1kg. Orders from the UK over 1kg will be sent by first class post or courier. We use airmail to send parcels to everywhere else.

Postage will be added at the checkout based on the size of the order. Our postage charges are largely based on Royal Mail postal rates.

For UK customers postage charges are as follows:

Up to 1kg - First Class £3.30, Second Class £2.80.

Over 1kg - £5.50.

Overseas postage costs are as follows:

If you are outside the UK and want to order over 1kg, please contact us and we can provide a price for shipping.

Please note that our shop software currently displays "lb" in some places for the weight of items in the shopping cart. The weights are correctly calculated for shipping in kg, and we hope to correct how the weight displays in certain places soon!


If you change your mind, or are not satisfied with any items in any way, you may return them within 14 days for a refund. Goods can be returned to our address on the contact page, but if possible please also e-mail us to let us know that the item is being returned.

Changed your mind?

Items returned because you have changed your mind must be in the same saleable condition on return for a refund, and refunds will only be made once the item has been received by us. In such cases we won’t pay for return postage.

Faulty goods?

If the item is faulty or has been damaged in the post we will either refund the price, or if we have a similar item in stock, you may choose to be sent a replacement item. If you are returning an item due to it being faulty we will refund the return postage, but we would ask that before actually sending the item back to us you contact us to explain the problem.

Been sent the wrong thing?

Oops. Hopefully we won’t send out the wrong things, but if by mistake we send you an incorrect item, please contact us and we will arrange to send the correct thing. Please contact us before actually sending the incorrect item back to us.

If you are sending something back to us, we won’t be liable for items lost or damaged in the post. When returning items we suggest you obtain proof of posting, such as a certificate of posting.
